    My Christmas Wish

I don't believe in Christmas Wishes... Never did but somehow, I just wish that I was never born. It's too painful.

    Xmas Lights and Badminton Madness

Met up with Sear Li and Weipeng last Friday for dinner at Xin Wang Cafe in Cineleisure... Something funny about the place. You know usually when you enter a restaurant or cafe with a "please wait to be seated" sign and someone asks you table for how many persons? Well Xin Wang has this concept as well. The funny thing is, after one person comes and ask me table for how many and i replied, different staff will come at 2 min intervals and keep asking me the same question. I think I must have at least said 三位 (table for 3) around 7 or 8 times. After that dinner, we went to Coffee Club in front of California Fitness Centre cos Sear Li wants to have Muddy Mud Pie. We also took some pictures of the Xmas Lightings along the way. Come to think of it, it has been many many years since i took pictures in Orchard Road during the Xmas season.

Played badminton yesterday at NTU's Sports and Recreation Centre. Amin booked the courts from 1.15pm to 10pm... Siao one he.. but then again, Amin is an Ironman who can do anything without tiring. Anyway, Kian Siong and I reached there only around 5.30pm cos he had an interview in the morning and I was stuck in camp with work to do. Upon reaching, saw Lu Wei and Tok (Kian Ming) as well. Made some new acquaintances who are friends of Amin, Lu Wei and Tok. Been really a long long time since i last plaayed badminton. Was really fun. played all the way till 10pm and kinda regretted not warming up enuff b4 playing. Now both my thighs hurt, my right forearm and triceps are hurting, my right gluteus oso hurting. How siah.. Machiam paralysed like that.. haha.. but had a really good sleep last night cos i have not been so shagged for a long long time. Kudos to Amin: The Gathering!

Oh and I am on leave once again! From today until next Tuesday. Nothing to do also, just rest at home... Sianz.

    Tribute to my Birthday Cue

As mentioned in my previous entry, my good friends bought me a cue for my birthday. Its an Aska cue.. too bad i do not have any pictures of it. However, I found it on the product website and here it is:

Ok here's some information about the cue. It's a decal cue, meaning that the red coloured design of the cue is something like a car decal. It's actually a sticker. The cue length is 58" and the weight of the cue is 19oz. The tip of the cue is a Triangle tip, not as in the shape but the make of the tip. Triangle tips usually maintain their shape better because these tips are usually harder, but because it is harder, it tends not to hold chalk well so chalking after every shot is a must. It has a nylon handle wrap which is common in most house cues seen today. The wood that is used to make the shaft is maple, one of the best materials used to make high quality cues. It has a 15" Pro Taper designed for better follow through and it has a ABS ferrule, which is "guaranteed for life against cracking and chipping".

(information taken from http://www.askacue.com/product_info.php?cPath=53_62&products_id=234 and http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cue_stick)

Basically, this cue is right for me as I can be quite a hard hitter. It generally feels good cos its given to me by my good friends! I would never spend money buying one for myself cos i noe im not that great a player to own one. Anyway, I'm happy to have it and will have a pool ball of a time playing with it! Thanks guys!

p.s: Isaac, waiting for u to come take part competition together leh.. lol

    Birthday Celebration and Starbucks Fun

First of all, thank you peeps for celebrating my birthday with me! This 22nd birthday celebration was rather unique. We went to see Sherfun's performance first at Siglap Community Centre. I cannot really divulge what the performance was but it was not bad. Maybe I don't really know how to appreciate this form of art but I can see that Sherfun really did her best and gave all her effort in this. Well done Malay Gal! muahaha... Took this group picture from the performance:

Had a catering dinner at the CC. First time had this kind of dinner for my birthday celebration. After the performance, we headed to Party World KTV @ Orchard for some sing song sessions. Yes again... KTV again. Sang till I no voice. Thanks to all those who turned up. I had a great time. Chang Hong, Pei Yoke, Stanley, Wan Yee, Ken and gf Moon, Weipeng and Gabriel. Really thanks alot and the cake was real yummy. It was a neapolitan ice cream cake topped off with gelatin and chocolate. It was really tasty... Just that it was a little to frozen to cut... lol.

Actually wanted to go supper but i guess everyone was shagged out (me especially). Thought I could go home and knock out on the bed but unfortunately, i had a bad night. i felt totally sick and could not sleep all night. The very next morning, I was down with fever and a terrible tummy ache. Worse of all, I had no energy at all and couldn't even walk properly. The pain became so unbearable that I had to see a doctor in the evening and i waited 1 and a half hours for my turn. One family took around half an hour just to see the doctor. Yes, ONE WHOLE FREAKING FAMILY! Got the Father, Mother, Son and Grandma. What the hell... Some more all different sickness one. Bo pian lar... waited till I almost died. Finally managed to see the doctor. Turns out to be a mild case of food poisoning... what the hell... AGAIN! The last time was during National Day if you recall my previous blog entry. Anyway, it was a lousy day to spend my birthday and definitely a boring one...

2 days later I met up with Weipeng and Chang Hong. Turns out that Weipeng and Gab took the trouble to shop for a gift for me and it's a pool cue! Omg... I love it. Can say that I'm not really good to own one cue and i guess anyone can come and thrash me with any house cue but i appreciate the thought and will treasure this gift well. Thanks Weipeng, Gabriel, Sear Li, Wilson, Wynn and Werner for the gift.

7th December was a special day. Every year, Starbucks will give out free drinks on this day for 2 hours from 5pm to 7pm. Irene asked me to help out this year cos we both know the turnout will be crazy.. I experienced once at Great Eastern before when I was still in Starbucks. Running that very shift was scary but fun at the same time... Since I was on leave, i obliged and together with Bryan and Kenny, we formed the casual labour gang. Bryan was the "Bouncer", controlling the number of people going into the store. Kenny and I were the Salesman, taking orders of customers from outside the store so that the partners in the store can concentrate on making drinks and selling pastries. I talked and talked until no more salive liao.

From left: Uncle Kenny, the first SB-IM Store Manager

Irene - Then partner of SB-IM, now Store Manager of SB-United Square

Me - The 1st Chinese guy partner of SB-IM

Bryan - The 2nd Chinese guy partner of SB-IM

Unforgettable memories. Rahim and Sabrina also turned up after that to have coffee and Starbucks United Square. Had a long chat with them and Uncle Kenny. Wish more were here (Yes Isaac, miss you were there as well) but it's good anyway. These 2 weeks of leave have been well spent and I am glad to be able to work with them again.
